The Existence of Radio Insania Makassar as a Da'wah Media in Increasing Preaching AwarenessFor Students of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting at the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Insania Makassar radio dakwah communication as a propaganda medium, to know the existence of Insania Makassar Radio as a propaganda medium in increasing awareness of preaching for KPI Unismuh Makassar students. As well as knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of Insania Makassar radio as a da'wah media in increasing preaching awareness for KPI Unismuh Makassar students. This research uses a type of descriptive qualitative research. With data collection techniques carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted at Radio Insania Makassar which is located on Jl. Sultan Alauddin No. 259, Ex. Gunungsari, Kec. Rappocini, Makassar, South Sulawesi. The results of this study indicate that the missionary communication role of Insania FM Radio as a company only provides 5% of the da'wah content under the name of the splash of faith program. With one hour slot, the Spark of Faith program comes with selected sources and different themes every day. In addition to the program of the spark of faith, it also presents the call to prayer 5 times and broadcasts an inspirational program 15 minutes before and after the call to prayer. The existence of Insania Makassar radio as a da'wah media in increasing awareness of preaching for KPI Unismuh Makassar students, especially in the spark of faith program, is still lacking outward socialization carried out by the radio. So that there are still many who do not know the schedule of the programs that are broadcast, as well as the broadcast of the Spark of Faith program which is too early for a short time.
