Abstract

This research aims to examine how Islamic preaching
activities in the current digitalization era are conducted.
Furthermore, the discussion in this article aims to understand
the urgency of Islamic preaching and its dissemination
processes in the present time. This research employs a
literature study method where data sources are collected
through library materials. The results of the research indicate
that spreading Islam using technology and digital media is
considered effective as it allows direct interaction with
anyone without boundaries, thus enabling the teachings of
preaching to be conveyed quickly and reach many people.
Islamic preaching should not only be textual but must also be
dynamic and adaptable to the development of civilization
among the community, particularly in the current digital era
where Islam is defined as values and a way of life that should
be integrated with information technology to develop the
civilization of the Islamic community. The progress of the
Islamic community depends on how far it can open
opportunities for cultural relations with technology. Thus,
internationally, the Islamic community possesses a rich
identity and works with innovations. Preaching in the digital
era can build the strength of the nation's identity that is
diverse. The government, preachers, and the Islamic
community, in particular, should view the digital era as an
opportunity for development, even though the Islamic
community is living in a tension between convention and
innovation (ijtihad and modern Islam).
