Application of Discovery Learning Model as an Effort to Improve Arabic Learning Achievement of Grade VIII Students of Muhammadiyah Topoyo Junior High School
Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the discovery learning model as an effort to improve the Arabic learning achievement of eighth-grade students at Muhammadiyah Topoyo Middle School. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles, with each cycle conducted once. The research procedures include planning, observation, action implementation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. The results of the research indicate an improvement from Cycle I to Cycle II. From the test data, it can be observed that there was an increase in the average class score from 12 students in Cycle I, which was 58.5, to 88.3 in Cycle II. It can be noted that the difference in this improvement is 35.8%, indicating that the implementation of the discovery learning model towards learning achievement has been effective.
