Da'wah Message in Novels "Dear Alla" by Diana Febi

Abstract

At first, novels were only used as a medium for leisure time. However, over time the novel became an effective medium of message transformation. One of the novels that contains elements of Islam is the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi. The novel is inspiring about pesantren, love, friendship, family, religion, and life. The message of da'wah shown in this novel is in the form of obedience to worship and good ethics towards fellow humans. The purpose of this study is to find out the message of da'wah contained in the novel Dear Allah, for that the author conducted research and formulated the following problems: (1) How is the message of da'wah in the macro structure of the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi? (2) What is the message of da'wah in the superstructure  of the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi (3) What is the microstructure of Dear Allah by Diana Febi? Researchers used descriptive qualitative methods in this study, with data collection techniques in the form of documentation and text observation. To analyze the data, the author uses Teun A. Van Dijk's discourse analysis which divides discourse into three levels, namely macrostructure, superstructure and microstructure. From this research produced some da'wah message content in the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi. First, the message of da'wah of the Akidah message includes faith in Allah. The message of sharia da'wah includes prayer, reading the Qur'an, prayer, patience and remembrance, and the message of moral da'wah includes morality to others.
