Abstract

This research aims to explore the portrayal of Islamic Propagation Strategies through Folktales for Students of TPA Rafi Nurul Jannah, understand the process, communication strategies, and identifying supporting and hindering factors in the activities of TPA Rafi Nurul Jannah. This qualitative research utilized data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation, conducted in TPA Rafi Nurul Jannah, Jenetallasa Village, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. The findings reveal that Islamic Propagation through Folktales for Students  has significantly positive impacts on the religious understanding development of the students. The use of puppets in storytelling activities enhances students' enthusiasm to listen to stories, narratives, explanations of verses, and hadiths. Employing a light and easily understandable language serves as a communication approach in delivering religious messages. Students' interest and enthusiasm, the proficiency of instructors, and conducive environments are supporting factors. Meanwhile, the influence of social media serves as a hindering factor in Islamic propagation among the students of TPA Rafi Nurul Jannah.
