IMPLEMENTATION OF AGRICULTURAL ZAKAT (STUDY CASE BALLA VILLAGE, BARAKA ENREKANG, INDONESIA)

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of farmers' agricultural zakat in Balla Village, Enrekang Regency. The main problem of this research is that the farming community of Balla Village, Enrekang Regency, does not understand and implement agricultural zakat. This study aims to determine: How to find out the implementation of agricultural zakat in Balla Village, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency.This type of research uses qualitative research, with the location of this research in Balla Village, Enrekang Regency. The data collection method used was through observation, interviews and document review, while the data sources were obtained through case studies and interviews with 12 informants in Balla Village, namely, 10 farmers, and 2 (Unit Pengelola Zakat) UPZ or Amil Zakat members, and secondary data from the results of the research. research results, books, journals and documents from Balla Village, Enrekang Regency.The results of this study indicate that the results of the study indicate that the implementation of agricultural zakat in Balla Village is carried out but is not optimal because there are still many farmers who do not know about agricultural zakat and how to issue it, some collect it to UPZ, some distribute zakat directly to people in need. There is also a lack of socialization for the management of zakat institutions in the balla village, especially UPZ.
