The Role of Parents in Supervising Gadget Use For Children Aged 4-7 Years in Delta Bumi Sudiang Housing
Abstract
This research examines the role of parents in supervising the use of gadgets among children aged 4-7 years in Delta Bumi Sudiang Housing Complex. The aim is to understand the overview of gadget usage, the role of parents in supervision, and the positive and negative impacts of gadget usage. This study uses a qualitative research approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that parents play a crucial role in supervising children's gadget usage by setting usage limits, setting examples, and accompanying children during gadget use. The positive impacts of gadget use include facilitating communication and fostering creativity, while the negative impacts include hearing impairments and eye health issues. Parents also provide guidance for children to consume Islamic-themed content.
