Abstract

School readiness cannot be separated from family readiness.
Family readiness focuses on the attitudes and involvement of
parents in meeting their children's learning needs. Preparing
children means preparing parents financially and mentally. The
role of parents that is no less important is as teachers at home
who also need support in efforts to support children's readiness
for school. Thats means when parents do not receive support
and are unable to plan, their child's readiness for school will
not run optimally. Research uses a qualitative method with a
case study type. The results of this research indicate that the role
of groups in building parents' optimistic attitude towards school
readiness is considered quite effective. Parents are able to view
themselves more positively, are able to make plans and gain
different views from other people's experiences.
