Abstract
This research aims to find out what methods are used in developing da'wah rhetoric to improve the preaching abilities of students at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Datarang, Kuncio Pao District, Gowa Regency. Then, to find out what forms of activities are carried out to improve the development of da'wah rhetoric as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of muhadarah activities of Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Datarang students. The type of research that I use is qualitative research, namely research that leads to more descriptive and objective data analysis. In this research, researchers used observation, interviews and documentation methods. This research was located at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Datarang for approximately two months, from September to November. The results of this research are to find out the rhetoric development methods used by students to support their preaching abilities. The form is in the form of muhadhrah and student training. These activities are certainly inseparable from supporting and inhibiting factors. The supporting factors are that the audience or object that is the target of the da'wah pays attention to the students who are lecturing, there is self-will, mastering the concept to be conveyed, the material presented is easily accepted by the mad'u. Then the inhibiting factors are boring material, where a student feels that the audience is not paying attention to what he is saying, and feels that the concept he is presenting is boring, and the student lacks self-confidence.
