SOCIAL MEDIA: DESIGNING CHILDREN WITH ISLAMIC CHARACTER IN INDONESIA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of social media in designing children with Islamic character. This research uses a qualitative method with the researcher at the same time functioning as the main instrument (key instrument) who goes to the field and tries to collect data through observation techniques, interviews, documentation. The results of this study indicate that; (1) All Islamic character education planning processes from; determining the material must be a priority scale that suits their learning needs, the material is designed and delivered in such a way as to directly involve students optimally, planning a conducive learning atmosphere happy, comfortable, safe and calm to learn. All these aspects have been pursued in accordance with the concept of humanistic management. (2) The organisation of the institution, which includes organizers, programs, students, mentors, curriculum, study schedules, and funding, has been pursued and arranged according to a clear schedule and division of tasks. (3) The implementation of character education is pursued according to the learning climate supported by interesting methods by streamlining dialogue. (4) Assessment activities include; detailed observation of changes in the behavioural attitudes of each student at the beginning and end of learning, interpreting every symptom that appears from each student which is then described as an assessment result. (5) Supervision in the context of program control includes; looking at the planning of the learning program, looking at the organisation of the learning program through the division of existing tasks and curriculum preparation, implementing the program by direct observation of learning activities carried out inside and outside the classroom, carried out on an ongoing basis
