Analysis of Difficulties in Learning Arabic for Public School Alumni in the Ma'had Al Birr Unismuh Makassar Dormitory Program
Abstract
Learning difficulty is a condition where students cannot
learn properly, due to a disturbance that can hinder the
learning process of students. The factors that can determine
the success or failure of students in learning are in terms of the
approach used by the teacher when teaching. This study aims
to analyze the difficulties faced by female public school alumni
in learning Arabic in terms of approaches and methods used
by ustad / diploma in the learning process at Ma'had Al Birr
Unismuh Makassar. This research is a descriptive qualitative
research, using data collection techniques of observation,
interview and documentation. The data analysis technique is
inductive, which is a data analysis whose development pattern
is from specific to general related to the problem under study
by describing a symptom, event, incident that occurred at the
research location. The results of this study indicate that: 1)
The difficulty of learning Arabic of female students of public
school alumni in terms of cognitive is the tight schedule held
by the boarding school administrators, so that the students of
public school alumni cannot focus on learning the language.
The difficulty of learning Arabic female students of public
school alumni in terms of their environment, students have an
educational background that comes from public schools. 2)
The efforts made by the dormitory to overcome the difficulties
of female students are by giving daily mofrodat and obliging
every student to use Arabic in their daily lives. And provide
sanctions for language violators. In addition, for female
students who are still classified as beginners in Arabic lessons,
then every item in each room is affixed to the Arabic language
of the object.
