Analysis of the Wisdom Value of the Bugis Human Construction Philosophy Tradition in Curriculum Development: Understanding Its Role and Relevance in the Context of Modern Islamic Education
Abstract
Curriculum development in the context of
modern Islamic education demands a deep
understanding of the wisdom values of Islamic tradition
and how they can be integrated effectively. The purpose
of this study is to analyse the value of traditional wisdom
that is key in understanding its role and relevance in the
development of Islamic religious education (PAI)
curriculum or modern Islamic education, where modern
Islamic education needs to maintain its relevance in the
era of globalisation and technological advancement,
while maintaining the fundamental values of Islam.
Research on the analysis of the value of traditional
wisdom in curriculum development, especially in the
context of modern Islamic education, is an important
step in understanding how the values of traditional
wisdom can be aligned with the needs and demands of
the times with 2 research methods that can be applied in
this research, namely literature studies and qualitative
descriptive analysis methods. The results of research on
the analysis of traditional wisdom values in curriculum
development, especially in the context of modern
Islamic education, namely the identification of diverse
traditional values, integration of traditional values in
the curriculum, challenges in implementation,
curriculum development strategies based on traditional
wisdom, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, the
importance of evaluation and monitoring. Thus, the
results of this study offer a methodology and approach
to a deeper understanding of the role and relevance of
traditional wisdom values in the bugis human
construction philosophy in the development of modern
Islamic education curriculum, as well as offering
directions to improve the implementation and
integration of these values in educational practices.
