Abstract

Family education is a natural education that is inherent in every household. The family institution is the first environment that children encounter and which initially has a deep influence and plays a major role in the child's development process. Family institutions have an important role in the process of children's education, because in the educational process, a child does not know the wider community before receiving guidance from the school, he first receives guidance from his family members in this case the father and mother. This study aims to determine the concept of parenting in the perspective of Islamic education based on the Qur'an Surah Luqman verses 13-19. By using library research methods (Library Research). The data sources of this research were obtained through primary sources, namely the Qur'an and secondary sources, namely books related to children's education in Islamic education based on Surah Luqman verses 13-19. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the education of children in Surah Luqman verse 13 is to teach children to instill the belief that the only God who has the right to be worshiped is Allah SWT, and cannot associate Him with anything. In verses 14 and 15 it is to teach children to have good character and be devoted to both parents. In verse 16 is to cultivate a feeling to the child that he is always under the supervision of Allah SWT, and all the actions he does will be repaid with the appropriate recompense. In verse 17 is teaching to children so that he prays. In verse 18 is to teach children not to be arrogant and arrogant. In verse 19 is to teach children to speak softly and speak good words.
