Reorientation of Islamic Education in the Formation of Islamic Personality
Abstract
Islamic education must be present as an alternative solution to the educational problems caused by complex education dynamics. This study uses a qualitative approach and literature review method. Education in an Islamic perspective is moreiig/ inclined to ta'dib for the use of the term education in Islam. Because, the term ta'dib in its conceptual structure includes elements of science (ilm), teaching (ta’lim) and good nurture (tarbiyah). Islamic education curriculum and material must be in harmony with theological orientation. The method of Islamic education has its own characteristics, one of which is the method of Quranic education. Media and infrastructure may use anything, as long as it does not conflict with theological orientation. Evaluation in Islamic education consists of measurement and assessment which includes aspects of aqliyah, qolbiyah and amaliah. Islamic education is very instrumental in fostering an Islamic personality, because all of that is inseparable from the goal of Islamic education initiated, namely the formation of an Islamic personality.
